For years Brian Paulson has worked in mental health settings working with children, families and adults dealing with depression, impulse, trauma, mood disorders, bipolar, and many more. Mr. Paulson has a Master’s in Counseling and a Bachelors in Psychology.
His specialty is meeting his clients where they are so that they can make a collaborative decision and work together towards achieving set goals. He utilizes a cognitive behavioral model as well as a solution focused and strength based approach. He is adept at Motivational Interviewing as well as employing a mindfulness approach when working with trauma. This would entail changing the thoughts, perceptions, and relationship of the client as well as focusing on their own personal strengths in order to enhance their ability to experience life in a way that is healthy and therapeutic.
