Tampa Bay Area Therapist and Associates is a rapidly expanding and is actively recruiting to fill positions for a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and a Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessment (CBHA)- Assessor/Writer.

Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Skills / Responsibilities:
The mental health therapist must have Masters Degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, and/or a human services field and have knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid documentation requirements. This is a community based behavioral healthcare in-homes and schools that provides clinical excellence to children, adolescents, adults and families throughout Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling related field and a minimum of 2-3 years full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of substance abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed.
- They must also have a minimum of 2-3 years experience working with foster parents. The Candidate must carry current and valid Individual Professional Liability Insurance Coverage as well as proper car insurance.
- In addition the candidate MUST be licensed in the state of Florida.
- Provides mental health and/or substance use counseling services according to discipline standards and in accordance to policies and procedures.
- Reviews and responds to electronic and hand written mail, memoranda and other correspondence and responds to phone inquiries timely (within 24-hours or next available business day) in a professional manner.
- Maintains ongoing chart audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance of services provide.
- Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing community resources as supportive services and discharge planning.
- Serves as a liaison for the client, family, referral source and other social service agencies.
- Work with purpose – Ability to report to work as scheduled, in a timely fashion and will an attitude oriented toward service.
- Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms, as well as experiencing a stressful situation
- Must successfully complete all criminal background checks annually
- Must be Computer literate
- Behavior Analyst credentials will be given greater consideration.
Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessment (CBHA)- Assessor/Writer
Skills / Responsibilities:
The Assessor must have Masters Degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, and/or a human services field and have knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid documentation requirements. A non-licensed assessor must have at minimum of 5 years full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed. They must also have a minimum of 2 years experience working with foster parents. A licensed assessor must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 491, Florida Statues and must have a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed. The Assessor must have a minimum of 2 year working experience directly related to CBHAs (i.e. writing, reviewing, etc.) Licensed and Non-Licensed Assessors must have a list of current (within the last two years) conferences and workshops attended, dedicated to relevant child and family treatment The Assessor must carry current and valid Individual Professional Liability Insurance Coverage as well as proper car insurance.
This is a contracted position(s) offering flexible scheduling and a very competitive rate structure.
Spanish Speaking is a plus – but not required
