Teresa McKenna is a Registered Mental Health Intern with a masters degree from IICP, Ireland and Capella University adjunct courses to fulfill licensure requirements in Florida. She has over 10 years of experience in Community Mental Health Centers, Crisis Health Centers, Student Counseling Services, both in Florida, UK and Ireland. Teresa has gained extensive experience in working with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship and attachment difficulties, grief, addiction, trauma, self harm, suicide and PTSD. She has worked with diverse age groups, children, adolescents, adults from many different cultural background
Teresa is passionate about counseling and the benefits it can bring and sees it as an investment in a fulfilling life. Teresa has found that most clients want to increase their strength and resiliency in the face of difficulties and she is here to support and teach through awareness and insight how to manage differently. Teresa keeps her professional services up to date with new approaches by seeking knowledge from a variety of workshops, boards and research. She is Addiction, Adoption, Trauma, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Mindfulness certified and is in the process of becoming certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
