Unaiza Malik

Unaiza Malik is dual licensed as a Mental Health Counselor Intern and Marriage & Family Therapist Intern. Unaiza received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, with a focus in Marriage & Family Therapy, from the University of South Florida. She has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings working with addictions, eating disorders, offer couples counseling, and family therapy. Through her extensive involvement in the school system, Unaiza has over 9 years of experience working with children and adolescents in various capacities.

Unaiza utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based approaches to treat adult and adolescent clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems. She works with clients to recognize maladaptive patterns of thinking and acting and helps them develop the coping skills necessary to deal with their emotional difficulties. As a committed and compassionate therapist, Unaiza is eager to work with client to address their issues and help them improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment.
