Vanda T. Michel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with both a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Ms. Michel holds active licensure in multiple states and is a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor for Provisional Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselor Interns.
For the past 17 years, Ms. Michel has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has also worked with a wide variety of life issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, work and school stressors, grief and loss, as well as family, marriage and relationship difficulties. She has practiced in a variety of settings, including child welfare, juvenile justice, community mental health, hospice, and long-term care. Additionally, she has received advanced training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT).
Ms. Michel has extensive experience in the implementation of client/family-centered and solution focus approaches and treatment interventions that are tailored to the unique needs of each new client. She adapts a systemic approach to strengthen client/family functioning in order to effectively reduce psychiatric symptoms.
